For this young family’s living room, the intention was clear: Design a space that felt sophisticated yet could withstand the footprint of two children and two dogs. We began by reupholstering the existing sofas in a durable performance fabric, setting a practical foundation. From there, layers of personality emerged from the vibrant throw pillows with contrast piping, patterned slipper seating, and the reimagining of the client’s grandmother’s chairs to bring in both sentiment and style. The mix of color, pattern and texture creates a room that feels collected and inviting; a space where elegance and everyday life comfortably coexist.
